For our client, we are seeking a driven Ink Researcher. You will play a crucial role in the early phase of technology development, aiming to elevate sustainable UVgel technology for future graphic arts printing products.
As an Ink Researcher, you are pivotal in developing the next generation of sustainable UVgel inkjet inks. With your in-depth knowledge of chemistry and/or coating technology, you are responsible for the entire process: from ideation and experimental planning to execution, analysis, and interpretation of results. You demonstrate the feasibility of technological solutions. Your tasks include, among others:
- Developing concepts for the next generation of UVgel and translating them into concrete plans.
- Executing experimental plans, including designing and formulating new inks, characterizing material properties, and testing inks at both lab and printer levels.
- Aligning with internal stakeholders on technical solutions and outcomes.
- Collaborating with colleagues within the UV ink domain.
- Reporting results and providing input for IP generation.
Your base will be the R&D department of our client, where hybrid working (40 hours per week) is the standard. You will be part of a project team within the Technology Development department, focused on early-phase research into sustainable, next-level UVgel inks. Furthermore, you will become part of the broader UVgel community within CPP, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and specializations.

To successfully take on this challenge, you possess:
- A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Materials Science, or similar.
- Preferably a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, ideally within an industrial R&D environment.
- Extensive experience in formulating radiation-curable inks/coatings and knowledge of various material characterization methods (e.g., rheology, mechanical testing).
- The ability to translate practical application needs into concrete technical problems.
- Insight into structure-property relationships.

This role comes with a monthly gross salary with a maximum of €5.200,-, depending on your experience and expertise.
