- Design mechanical parts and systems based on product needs.
- Do calculations and analysis to predict performance.
- Choose the right materials (metals and plastics) and manufacturing methods.
- Create detailed 3D and 2D files.
- Make sure designs are easy to mass manufacture and assemble (DFM/DFA).
- Manage all product requirements.
- Lead DFMEAs (risk analysis) and follow the V-model process.
- Get parts and build prototypes.
- Lead idea sessions and guide concept choices.
- Plan your work and manage how your parts connect to others; use an agile approach.
- Sometimes, oversee the complete appliance development.
- Write test plans and run the tests.
- Analyze test data and write reports.
- Create new test tools with testing and validation (T&V) experts.
Functie-eisen
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science Engineering.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in mechanical product development for mass production is strongly preferred.
- Skilled in 3D CAD (Siemens NX and/or CREO).
- Strong knowledge of designing mechanical constructions in plastic and/or metal with familiarity in mass manufacturability aspects (mould / assembly tooling design).
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience working in (international) multi-disciplinary projects, preferably in Business to Consumer (B2C).
- Ability to document requirements, tests, and designs clearly.
- Experience with CFD analysis, FEA (Ansys), and/or other analytical software programs.
- Experience with Design for Six Sigma (i.e., Greenbelt certified).
- Experience in the design and development of medical devices.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Primary employment conditions:
- A good salary as per market standards.
- 13th month salary
- 8.33% holiday pay calculated over 12 monthly salaries.
