The Role

Are you passionate about enabling teams to make data-driven decisions? We are seeking a Data Engineer to design & build robust data pipelines, manage our data lake, and support production environments. You will ensure fast, accurate, and reliable access to data, advocate for best practices, and empower business users across the organization.

About the Team

You’ll join a dynamic and diverse team focused on delivering data solutions that support PACCAR’s analytics and data science initiatives. Our projects span data pipelines, quality frameworks, integration services, and platform development.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated data pipelines from diverse data sources.

• Develop and manage data quality workloads.

• Contribute to architecture, frameworks, and design patterns for high-volume data processing.

• Design solutions to measure, improve, and monitor data quality based on business needs.

• Ensure product health through scalable, automated, and sustainable solutions.

• Provide post-implementation support for data pipelines in production environments.

Required Experience & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in a data engineering role.

• 2+ years of experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, SNS, Lambda, IAM, Snowflake).

• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Airflow and Apache Beam.

• Proficiency in Python and libraries like Pandas and Flask.

• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Postgres, SAP HANA, Teradata).

• Experience with enterprise data modeling, semantic data modeling, or Master Data Management (MDM) is a strong plus.

• Familiarity with or experience in graph databases (e.g., Neo4j or AWS Neptune) is also a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with API platforms, including GraphQL engines (e.g., Hasura) and API management tools such as Apigee.

• Familiarity with container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes-based environments.

• Experience with streaming platforms such as Confluent Kafka and CDC tools like Debezium.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field (required).

• Master’s degree in Computer Science (preferred).
