Yacht has a new vacancy at TNO (in Delft) of EBL2 operator (Experimental). We are looking for a scientist or engineer to join the team at the Van Leeuwenhoek Laboratory of TNO, where they've spent over two decades pioneering research for the world's top semiconductor equipment manufacturers. Their mission is to understand how materials and optics behave in extreme environments, investigating their nanoscale interactions to enable the next generation of high-volume EUV lithography.
You'll work with a suite of cutting-edge, in-house facilities, including ultraclean vacuum equipment, XPS surface analysis systems, and advanced setups for plasma exposure and nanoparticle detection.
At the heart of their research is the EUV Beamline facility (EBL2), a unique, TNO-built setup that is the largest in their department and central to over a third of our projects.
Your new colleagues will train you on the particulars of the setup EBL2. Since this training can take up to 6 months, we expect you to commit to at least 2 years at the setup EBL2 full-time. Within that timeframe, we will tune the focus of the work at the EBL2 setup to your personal ambitions and the business needs.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Prepare, execute and report on the practical aspects of experiments being run on the setup EBL2 Take ownership of and execute on maintenance items (preventive, reactive) of the setup EBL2 as part of the EBL2 team
- Take ownership of and execute on technical improvement activities related to the setup EBL2 as part of the EBL2 team
- This position offers the opportunity to grow into a more strongly focused experimental science role.
This is a chance to contribute to groundbreaking research and directly support our global partners in advancing semiconductor technology. If you're passionate about materials science, optics, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in EUV lithography, we want to hear from you.
