DAF is one of the major manufacturing companies in the Netherlands. Within DAF, IT Europe is responsible for the development, implementation, support and management of the IT systems for DAF and PACCAR users worldwide. The headquarters of IT Europe is located in Eindhoven and has more than 300 employees onsite.

The IT Vehicle Software Systems team is one of the teams within PACCAR IT Europe. This team is responsible for all the IT systems that serve the lifecycle of vehicle software, from the moment that it gets released until it ends up in the electrical control units (ECU’s) of the truck. The VSS IT landscape is highly complex and involves several technology stacks, such as Windows Server, SQL databases, Azure, REST API’s, and SOAP Web Services.

As a Software Engineer in the VSS team you are responsible for development of VSS IT systems. These systems include cloud based functions which allow for a reliable and secure process to program the software on trucks across the world, both in factories as with dealers.

Functie-eisen

You are an enthusiastic professional with a Bachelor or Master degree in IT or similar work experience. At least ten years experience in a comparable working environment is expected.

In addition you bring:

Assignment

This role has become vacant because of additional capacity demands from project work and is therefore set up as a temporary assignment. With growth in support needs from the VSS team caused by an increased diversity and complexity in the Vehicle Software domain, the capacity need can become a structural one, which would give an opportunity for this role to be a DAF permanent contract instead of a contractor position.
