You will be part of a professional R&D team responsible for the innovation & renovation of ambient shelf-life products for global markets. The scope includes powdered products, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, barista products, UHT milks and ambient drinking yogurt. You will work closely together with Marketing, Supply Chain, QA, RA, Procurement and other R&D departments.

Functie-eisen

  • Develop and implement new products, while keeping in mind requirements like nutritional values, sustainability, compliance to claims, shelf life stability, cost price and organoleptic properties.
  • Initiate product and application tests on various scales (lab, pilot, factory), including analysis and interpretation of results incorporated in well-written reports.
  • Present findings to relevant stakeholders and peers.
  • Organize and perform essential maintenance work (e.g. modifications, contingency, new specifications, value engineering) on existing products.
  • Work together with various stakeholders across FrieslandCampina, including marketing, sales, supply chain, research, QA, technology & procurement

Competenties

What we ask

  • Relevant higher education, preferably in the area of food technology, food processing, dairy technology, physical-chemistry or alike.
  • Relevant product development and/or analytical experience in a food company, ideally in ambient dairy.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) on all levels in English.
  • The following key competences: analytical, quality and result driven, proactive, ability to engage others & challenge where necessary, decisive, team player.
  • Willingness to travel to and work at various production locations in the Netherlands and Belgium.
