Join the MQS Tooling group — a newly established, multidisciplinary team within ASML’s Electronic Development (EDEV) department. We specialize in the development, manufacturing, and outsourcing of advanced tooling in close collaboration with teams across sectors, including Multi Disciplinary Tooling (MDT). Our team is small, skilled, and technically broad (T-shaped expertise).

Role and Responsibilities
As an Experienced Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining electrical wiring bundles, enclosures, racks, and related mechanical components. You will support both new development and ongoing improvements, ensuring that designs meet safety and compliance standards and are ready for production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and document electro-mechanical modules (3D and 2D), including wiring harnesses and enclosures.
- Ensure compliance with safety, EMC, CE, and NFPA standards.
- Prepare and implement engineering changes into the product lifecycle.
- Review your work and participate in peer design reviews to maintain high quality standards.
- Plan and execute tasks within multiple project timelines.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team and act as a key technical representative.
- Depending on experience, oversee outsourced development and mentor junior designers.
Competenties
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in EME/CDE design.
- Proven experience in multidisciplinary module design (e.g. wiring harnesses, sheet metal).
- Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD design, preferably using Siemens NX.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, wiring, and connectivity concepts.
- Experience working in cross-functional design teams.
