At Siemens Mobility, we believe that work should be both technically challenging and enjoyable. That’s why we’re looking for teammates we can collaborate, learn, and laugh with.

Together, we are responsible for managing and maintaining the infrastructure of the High-Speed Line South (HSL-Zuid), stretching from Hoofddorp to the Belgian border. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be maintaining both electrical and mechanical installations. Specifically, this includes tunnel technical systems, communication systems/fiber optics, and the 25 kV power supply stations. Do the abbreviations AEM/COM/TPS ring a bell? That’s a plus—and we’d love to hear from you!

Your responsibilities:

  • Performing preventive maintenance such as cleaning, inspecting, lubricating and/or adjusting equipment and installations, carrying out functional tests, replacing parts, and updating documentation.
  • Conducting corrective and fault maintenance.
  • Analyzing and solving failures through repair, replacement, updates, and retesting.
  • Documenting all work activities in the CMMS system.

You’ll work across multiple specializations in the team, for which you will receive training. One day you might work on a pump, the next on an emergency door or a power controller. Work is always carried out in pairs—either with someone from your own team or a different discipline.

This role requires working in shifts (24/5) and occasionally during weekends (by agreement). You’ll also be expected to take part in on-call duties over the weekend. After all, in addition to safety, the availability of the railway infrastructure is essential to ensure passengers reach their destinations on time.

Functie-eisen

  • A team spirit with strong communication skills. You’re safety-conscious and enjoy diving into technical systems, problems, and malfunctions.
  • At least 5 years of experience in maintaining electrical and/or mechanical installations (such as power switches (LS/MS), fire alarm systems, HVAC, pumps, valves, hydraulics, emergency doors).
  • Good digital skills (working with laptops, tablets, etc.) and proficiency in Dutch (spoken, read, and written).
  • VCA VOL certificate. Additional training such as H-EEO, H-IWV (with STIPEL), or OP-BBMI is a plus.
  • Preferably an MBO level 4 diploma in Technician Engineering or Energy Technology.

Competenties

  • Clear communication
  • Technical problem-solving
  • Safety-focused mindset
  • Flexibility for shift work and stand-by duties

Arbeidsvoorwaarden

  • Shift allowance
  • 5-week rotating schedule
  • Night – Day – Night – Day – Evening
  • Stand-by duty between Day and Evening shifts
