We are looking for a Configuration Manager who will be the expert and driving force behind our configuration management strategy. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Configuration Management Plan (CMP), overseeing the entire product lifecycle from a configuration standpoint. You will not only execute hands-on configuration tasks but also provide guidance and coordination, helping to shape the vision for our department and drive continuous improvement.

This is more than just a technical position; it's a leadership role that requires strong communication and a proactive approach. You will be a vital resource and sparring partner for project managers and colleagues across the organization, ensuring predictability and transparency in all our work.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and Implement the CMP: Create, implement, and maintain core configuration management activities, including planning, identification, configuration checks, status accounting, and verification.
Process Expertise: Develop and refine our configuration management processes, methods, and best practices, with a focus on adhering to the international CM2 standard.
Project Execution: Perform hands-on configuration management tasks within projects, such as managing baselines and final product deliveries.
Oversight and Coordination: Monitor and manage all configuration activities within projects, including overseeing the change management process.
Training and Mentoring: Create and deliver presentations and training to build awareness and understanding of configuration management and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) across the company.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in improvement projects and advocate for changes to our processes. You will serve as a process expert, providing detailed knowledge and analytical skills to enhance efficiency.
Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the overall vision and strategy of the department, ensuring our configuration management practices are aligned with the company's goals.

Competenties

What We're Looking For

Education: A professional or academic degree (HBO working and thinking level), preferably in a technical or IT field.
Experience: Proven experience and expertise in both Configuration Management and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
CM2 Knowledge: Experience with or knowledge of the CM2 standard is essential.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with development, release, configuration, and change management tools and best practices.
Process Understanding: In-depth knowledge of engineering and supply chain processes.
Personal Skills: A proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture.
Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
Communication: Excellent command of both spoken and written Dutch and English.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to communicate effectively and comfortably with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
