As a Specialist Technician at the Advanced Therapies department, you like to work accurately and meticulously. You are someone who is proactive and who escalates any concerns to the team leaders to ensure a successful result. You like to think outside the box in solutions and enjoy working in a team. Knowledge of GMP/GLP is a plus, or you are at least highly motivated to quickly acquire it. You can also recognize yourself in the aspects below:
- You have a MLO or bachelor in the field of (Micro)Biology, Life sciences or Engineering.
- You have good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong computer skills, especially with MS Office.
As a Technician Specialist, you will provide crucial support to our Advanced Therapies Pilot Plant Operations, meticulously executing routine tasks and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Your responsibilities will include carrying out experiments in the lab and pilot plant, and identifying and working on resolving problems that occur in production. The techniques and analyses that are used within this position are Diafiltration, Chromatography, Cell opkweek, Infection, Clarification, PH, Conductivity and Vi-cell.
Some of the tasks as a technician specialist:
- Learn about our production steps from scientist.
- Doing water runs and training runs to ensure production readiness.
- Carry-out experiments in the lab and pilot plant.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Coordinating with other departments.
As a Technician Specialist you will work at the Advanced Therapies Pilot Plant Operations (ATPO) team at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. This team is part of the Advanced Therapy’s department which is responsible for Release and Stability testing of drug substance and drug products. In this department they also perform essential testing and release of all raw materials, as well as in-process samples taken throughout the fermentation and purification stages of production.

- You need to have a valid work permit for working in the Netherlands or to have a European passport.
