- Completed MBO or HBO education in biotechnology, biochemistry, biomedicine, process technology (or equivalent);
- 1-3 years of experience in a biotechnological or biopharmaceutical environment as an operator or willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills in English, both oral and written, and full-time availability.
Depending on your knowledge and experience, you will work in one of three departments. Employees are sought for the Upstream Processing, Downstream Processing, and Fill & Finish departments. The USP department grows cells and infects them with a virus. The DSP department purifies the cells using various techniques. The Fill & Finish department fills the product and prepares it for freezing and storage.
- Installation and operation of new equipment, writing breakdown sheets for training and work instructions;
- Performing daily tasks and support activities according to a schedule;
- Process and documentation activities;
- Identifying process deviations, spotting and solving process gaps, and training operators;
- Continuous improvement of work processes and procedures.
Project Pollux is the construction of a new Janssen Supply Chain Lentiviral Vector (LVV) production facility in Sassenheim, which will be established as a new business unit for Janssen Biologics. This facility is intended to become a key supply option for commercial LVV to support Janssen's global program for multiple myeloma, a disease that affects 160,000 patients annually.
