As a Software Designer in the Structural Heart Disease Venture, you will be at the forefront of image-guided, minimally invasive surgery. You will work within a small, entrepreneurial "start-up" team inside Philips to develop and maintain advanced software solutions that integrate X-ray and Ultrasound data. Your work directly impacts how cardiologists perform complex valve repairs and replacements, turning real-time data into actionable surgical insights. You will join the Image Guided Therapy (IGT) Systems unit, a global leader in cardiac and vascular medical diagnosis. You will specifically sit within a dedicated venture group focused on the integration of X-ray and Ultrasound, working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where the goal is to improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Your Responsibilities

  • Development & Innovation: Design, code, and test critical components of medical software applications using C# and C++.
  • Quality Assurance: Build robust automated software tests and system-level regression tests to ensure 100% reliability in a clinical environment.
  • Integration: Collaborate with other Philips business groups to integrate external libraries and cross-platform functionalities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact with clinical scientists, UX designers, and marketing teams to translate medical needs into technical solutions.

Functie-eisen

  • Education: BSc or MSc in Software Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of professional experience (Junior level).
  • Core Tech: Strong C# development skills with a solid working knowledge of C++.
  • Domain Knowledge: Experience in technical software development (Embedded or Application).
