As a Junior Environmental Coordinator at our client - a Dutch truck manufacturer - you will ensure that production processes meet the strictest international standards. This is a role in which you navigate between legislation, technology, and management.
What will you do?
As a (Junior) Environmental Coordinator, you support management in preventing and controlling the environmental impact of manufacturing processes. You work within the Environment department and report directly to the Environment Manager. You are responsible for the Eindhoven and St. Oedenrode locations.
Your range of duties is versatile:
- Policy & Strategy: You actively contribute to shaping the environmental and energy policy.
- Annual Plans: You draw up the annual environmental plan and ensure that the objectives are actually realized.
- Compliance & Legislation: You monitor European, national, and local environmental legislation (including changes) and translate this for the organization. You advise (senior) management regarding the impact of these regulations.
- Process Control: In the event of changes to production processes or materials, you verify whether the company continues to comply with legislation and our own DAF goals.
- Project Management: You initiate and coordinate technical improvement projects to reduce unwanted environmental effects. In doing so, you take sustainability and economic feasibility into account.
- Insight: You make the effects of industrial activities transparent for management.

Job Requirements
To perform this function well, you possess a strong technical foundation and an analytical mindset.
You have:
- A completed HBO (Higher Professional Education) or WO (University) degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Technology, Technical Business Administration, or similar.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of national and international (Dutch, Belgian, and European) environmental legislation.
- Experience with integral environmental management and management systems.
- You are qualified as a Lead Auditor of Environmental Management Systems and have experience performing internal audits.

- You know how to clearly convey technical and legal information to different levels within the organization.
- You are analytical, proactive, and have an eye for detail.
- You have an excellent command of the English language in speech and writing (this is a hard requirement).
