As a Development Engineer, you are responsible for the "business end" of our grooming products. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to translate user needs into high-performance technical specifications. Your day-to-day includes:

Innovating Core Tech: Designing and engineering cutting elements (blades, foils, sub-assemblies) with a focus on precision and reliability.
Prototyping & Testing: Setting up and conducting empirical experiments to validate performance and building theoretical models to understand the "why" behind the results.
Mass Production Readiness: Leading designs through the V-model, conducting DFMEAs, and ensuring your mechanical designs (metal or plastic) are optimized for high-volume manufacturing.
Strategic Influence: Leveraging your technical expertise to influence product roadmaps and drive strategic decisions for future grooming generations.

Functie-eisen

Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Applied Physics, (Bio)-Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in product development, preferably within the consumer goods sector.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in 3D CAD is essential. Experience with FEM and Python for data analysis or modeling is a strong advantage.
Expertise: A solid understanding of precision engineering, drive mechanisms, and manufacturing processes (tooling and equipment).
Methodology: Familiarity with DfSS (Greenbelt) and the V-model development cycle is highly preferred.
