As a Systems Engineer, you will be the technical backbone, ensuring the successful design and implementation of new IPL technologies. Your expertise will bridge disciplines, turning high-level vision into verified, market-ready products.
- Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Guide technical teams and collaborate with experts across mechanical, electrical, and software engineering to deliver seamless, integrated product solutions.
- IPL Development: Drive the development of new IPL technologies, products, and systems, ensuring successful execution from initial concept through to final implementation.
- V-Model Traceability: Maintain strict traceability throughout the product development life cycle (V-model), from translating high-level requirements to low-level design specifications, verification, and validation.
- Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement within the Systems Engineering group, supporting the adoption of modern methodologies like Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SAFe Agile.
- Development Compliance: Support product development projects by adhering to established development logic and methodologies, and assisting in critical decision-making processes.
Functie-eisen
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a lead engineering role involving multiple domains (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software).
- MSc degree in Systems Engineering, (Applied) Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a similar relevant field.
- Proven experience in medical consumer product development with mandatory familiarity with regulatory design controls (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485, EUMDR).
- Strong knowledge of and hands-on experience with - Modeling/Simulation Tools (e.g., CREO, Ansys, Matlab, Cameo),Requirements Management Tools (preferably DOORS).
- Very strong capabilities in data and statistical analysis, demonstrated by a certification in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS).
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with diverse, global, and cross-functional teams.
Competenties
- Must be able to guide engineers (mechanical, electrical, software) and drive the whole product development process.
- Needs experience specifically with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology and previous work on medical consumer products.
- Must understand and follow strict rules (FDA, ISO 13485) for designing medical products to ensure safety and legality.
- Uses data analysis (Six Sigma) and modeling tools (like Ansys) to solve tough technical problems.
- Has excellent communication skills to work smoothly with teams globally and across different engineering fields.
- Expert in keeping track of requirements from start to finish (V-Model), proving the design meets all original goals.
Arbeidsvoorwaarden
Primary employment conditions:
- A good salary as per market standards.
