As an NPI Industrialization Engineer – RAD at ASML, you’ll play a critical role in advancing the reliability, availability, and diagnostic capabilities of our next-generation EUV lithography systems. You will contribute directly to the industrialization of new Source (SRC) products, helping ensure they meet the highest operational standards in the field.

Role and Responsibilities

As part of the EUV SRC RAD team, you’ll be assigned to specific system functions and projects, working across all three RAD pillars. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing system availability data to determine root causes, assess impact, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conducting reliability test evaluations and interpreting results to support design improvements.
  • Interpreting and enhancing diagnostic feedback mechanisms from field systems.
  • Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders such as Customer Support, D&E (Design & Engineering), and Industrialization teams to drive effective solutions.
  • Ensuring high-quality data and insights feed into our continuous improvement processes.
  • Proactively identifying technical risks and improvement areas in future designs to meet or exceed availability and reliability specifications.

Competenties

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field such as:

    • Electronics
    • Mechatronics
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Physics/Optics

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment (software, mechanics, electronics, IT infrastructure).
  • Understanding of reliability engineering principles (RAMS), diagnostics, and service-related processes.
  • Familiarity with design and service lifecycles.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and system-level analysis.
  • ASML experience is a plus.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex system behavior.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
  • Comfortable switching between high-level concepts and detailed technical discussions.
