Mechanical Design Engineer – Automotive

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in designing mechanical components for heavy vehicles, powertrains, and passenger cars. The role involves collaborating across teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and cost-effective automotive solutions meeting performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and validate mechanical parts and assemblies using CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX).
Perform engineering analyses (stress, thermal, vibration) to ensure durability and performance.
Work with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams for system integration.
Support prototyping, testing, and validation against specifications and regulations.
Identify design improvements for weight, cost, and quality optimization.
Participate in design reviews and stay current with automotive technologies and standards.

Functie-eisen

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of mechanical design experience in automotive or related industries.
Proficient in CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, NX).
Strong knowledge of automotive systems (engines, transmissions, chassis, heavy vehicles).
Familiarity with engineering analysis tools (FEA, CFD) and industry standards (ISO, SAE) preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
Experience with powertrain and heavy vehicle design.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and sustainable design principles.
