As a Lean Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within a high-tech industrial supply chain environment. You’ll act as a change leader, working closely with operational teams on the shop floor to implement Lean principles and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence long-term strategy while also delivering hands-on results. You will engage with cross-functional teams to analyze current performance, identify areas for improvement, and lead transformation projects that contribute directly to customer satisfaction and industrial efficiency.

Analyze existing processes and propose optimized future states aligned with Lean strategy
Lead the implementation of Lean standards, tools, and methodologies on the shop floor
Collaborate with operational managers to improve performance and reduce waste
Coach, train, and support teams to develop their Lean capabilities and mindset
Act as a project leader in continuous improvement initiatives
Share knowledge, best practices, and results within the improvement team

Competenties

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing systems (Just-in-Time, Jidoka, Kaizen, etc.)
Proficiency in Lean tools such as Kanban, Andon, Pulled Flow, A3, VSM, and SIM
Familiarity with industrial processes and standards, including ERP, planning, and logistics
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration
Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
Proactive, analytical, and hands-on mindset with a drive to make a difference
