Internship - Quality Control Separations (MLO or HLO)

Are you a motivated student with an eye for detail? Join our laboratory in Leiden within the Quality Control (QC) department. You will be working with bio-pharmaceutical processes, playing a vital role in monitoring the quality of medicines distributed globally to treat serious illnesses. You are a student seeking to gain work experience who understands the importance of quality assurance.

• You are currently pursuing an HLO or MLO studies (preferably at a 3rd or 4th-year level)
• You are proficient in English, both written and verbal;
• You are detail-oriented, a team player, and eager to work within an enthusiastic team;
• Extracurricular activities, such as a part-time job or volunteer work, are considered a plus.

The QC laboratory is essential for testing raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. You will be joining the Separations department.

• Performing separation techniques (such as HPLC, UPLC, cIEF, cSDS, SDS-PAGE, MS) and chemical tests;
• Learning to work according to strict protocols, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP);
• Ensuring accurate documentation and maintaining data for easy traceability;
• Working in accordance with safety regulations, including the use of protective equipment and the proper handling of chemicals and needles;
• In addition to gaining practical experience, you will be provided with the time and space to work on your educational assignments.
