  • Completed MLO-3/MLO-4 education or higher, with an affinity for microbiology. Experience with quality systems and laboratory systems such as SAP and LIMS is a strong advantage.
  • At least two years of work experience. Experience with microbiological testing and sampling is a plus.
  • You are familiar with and experienced in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Experience working in a quality-driven environment and analytical lab skills.
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, both written and verbal.

As an Micro Assistant Scientist you will perform microbiological tests, take samples in the production area and contribute to quality assurance and improvement projects.

  • Taking EM/UM samples inside and outside the cleanroom of the Advanced Therapies Manufacturing Facility.
  • Receiving and processing product, intermediate, and raw material samples from various stakeholders.
  • Performing tests on these samples, such as bioburden, LAL, endotoxin, nitrate, microorganism identification, etc.
  • Accurately completing and reviewing documentation.
  • Ensuring a high level of quality within the department.
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects that contribute to quality improvement, EHS, and efficiency, with a strong focus on digitalization.

TheSO Labs group is part of the Analytical Development department within the Pharmaceutical and Analytical Development sector. The SO Labs unit comprises six subteams (Release & Stability, Raw Materials, Sample Management, Cell Culture, Microbiology, and Coordination). The group is responsible for conducting and reporting on release and stability testing of Janssen virus and antibody products for use in clinical trials, as well as providing analytical support for pilot plant activities.
