Automation Specialist

• Bachelors / Master degree in Life Sciences, Applied Physics, Chemistry or highly experienced in a similar position.
• Analytical thinking and (technical) problem-solving.
• Excellent understanding of Excel-based mathematical formulas.
• Experience with (Computer) System Validation in a GxP environment.
• Proven experience in automation, quality control, or related fields.
• Experience with the Empower (Waters) software platform is a plus.
• Planning skills, ability to prioritize multiple commitments and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Proactive, team player but also able to work independently. You are able to take actions in the absence of specific instructions, and can read and write protocols/reports, business correspondence and procedures.

The Lab Services - Automation Specialist will work primarily on the implementation of automation products related to separation assays (i.e., chromatography) in a small, dedicated team. This role is project based and you will be part of the Empower project team. In this team you will participate as project member for delivering the scope of interest (for example, build, design, and release of Empower report methods/projects, design and development of custom fields). Within this position you will:

• Support on automation Lab Systems processes, standards and data management. 
• Participates/lead lab systems initiatives and projects according to business needs – commercial or new products (e.g. analytical equipment systems, global platform projects like LIMS, SDMS etc., paper less opportunities). 
• Creates, reviews and updates related documentation. 
• Cooperates with local/global key stakeholders and represents team in meetings. 
• Involved in continuous improvement projects. 
• In Charge of documenting administrator procedures, technical installation procedures and maintenance procedures.
• Provide support in case of (computerized) problems.
• Adhere to compliance best practices, EHSS regulations and lean principles. Perform other work-related activities assigned by Supervisor.

Within this position you will work at Johnson & Johnson Innovative medicine. The need for automation support on Lab Systems is growing. The quality of data management, systems processes and standards (leverage on existing and implementing new technologies) need to be supported and need to be improved continually. Lab Systems variate from (standalone) analytical equipment to complex global platform projects like LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems), SDMS (Scientific Data Management System) and future new paperless opportunities. • The position is available for 1,5 year. After this options have to be looked at for a longer stay within the company or position
• On top of your salary you will receive a ADV allowance of 5.5%
