As an automation engineer you are the subject-matter expert (SME) for BMS (Building management system) and EMS (Environmental Monitoring System). You are in charge of new or existing systems, as well as maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs in the automation area.

Do you recognize yourself in the following aspects?

  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
  • Problem-solving oriented with good analytical skills, experience in pharmaceutical compliance (GAMP) is a plus
  • Good organization skills - Must have experience supporting multiple projects and other critical tasks at the same time
  • You have a minimum of 2 years work experience as Automation Engineer
  • Consistent track record in the field of BMS (Building Management System)/EMS (Environmental Monitoring System), DLS (Data-logging System) such as Siemens (Desigo CC/Insight)
  • Experience in programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Experience in maintaining Process Automation platforms SCADA, Siemens S7, OsiSoft, OPC(PIMS) is a plus
  • Experience in different communication protocols (for ex: Profibus, Modbus, serial, ethernet wireless etc.) is a plus

As an automation engineer you are the subject-matter expert (SME) for BMS (Building management system) and EMS (Environmental Monitoring System). You are responsible for new or existing systems, as well as maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs in the automation area.

Within this position you will

  • Contribute to the automation strategy
  • Implementing software changes and patch management
  • Perform asset management on systems and ensure support contracts with suppliers
  • Providing hands on expertise and technical guidance supporting maintenance supplier and internal teams on the control systems repairs, design changes, and projects because of troubleshooting or performance evaluation
  • Ensure activities on the automation systems are executed according to applicable procedures and data integrity practices.

The Engineering-Validation-Maintenance (EVM) department is a motivated and dynamic team responsible for the technical support of all utilities, production and laboratory areas and all involved equipment at Johnson & Johnson innovative medicine. the compliance group is responsible for the overall quality and safety programs
within EVM.

  • On-call service (approx. 1 week every 6 weeks) during the weekend
