As a Diagnostic Software Engineer, you join the Diagnostics department of a premier international automotive company in the Eindhoven region. This team is responsible for the development and delivery of the diagnostic tools used by mechanics worldwide to service and maintain heavy-duty vehicles.
Your primary focus is the development and testing of diagnostic content (software). You bridge the gap between complex technical specifications and practical application in the workshop. You ensure that new vehicle features are correctly integrated into the diagnostic toolsuite.
Your responsibilities include:
- Analysis: You analyze diagnostic documentation from Product Development to determine the necessary software requirements.
- Development: You develop high-quality diagnostic content in Grade-X, utilizing OTX and ODX standards.
- Validation: You perform rigorous testing and validation of the content, both on the test bench and directly on the truck to ensure reliability.
- Reporting: You monitor the development process and report status and progress to management regularly.

You are a technical specialist who understands the complexity of vehicle electronics and software. To succeed as a Diagnostic Software Engineer, you bring specific technical expertise and a hands-on mentality.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Development, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, specifically with OTX and ODX standards.
- Experience with Grade-X is highly desirable.
- Availability to work on-site in Eindhoven at least three days per week for alignment and testing.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
