Procurement plays a critical role in supporting business growth, driving innovation, and mitigating risk. As a Category Lead, you are the driving force behind the following categories: Creative & Production, PR/Communications, and Social Marketing Services.

The ideal candidate keeps long-term strategic goals in sight, creates meaningful connections between procurement goals and business objectives, and brings in the best external solutions to give Nike a sustainable competitive advantage.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of marketing services procurement, strong analytical and financial skills, and the ability to turn insights into strategy.
- Contract management: Understanding of various commercial agreements and the ability to determine the best deal structure to protect Nike’s interests.
- Stakeholder management: Excellent ability to navigate a complex matrix organization and influence relationships within diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Ownership: A proactive mindset with the ability to translate strategy into concrete projects with clear timelines and goals.
- Systems: Familiarity with procurement systems such as Coupa, Aravo, SAP, or Conga.
- Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience in Marketing Procurement or Marketing Operations (a minimum of 5 years in Category Management is preferred).
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
You will report to the Procurement Director Marketing & Events – EMEA. On a daily basis, you will support the Brand Marketing, Brand Creative, and PR/Comms teams across EMEA at all levels. You will partner closely with local and global procurement peers to realize sourcing strategies through a seamless 'source-to-pay' operation.
You will be responsible from end-to-end for the 'Plan-to-Pay' journey within your categories across the entire EMEA region. This includes:
- Developing and executing sourcing strategies in collaboration with global and local teams.
- Negotiating commercial agreements and mitigating risks.
- Managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality goods and services.
- Ensuring strong two-way communication between suppliers and the organization.
- Identifying strategic opportunities and delivering a pipeline for sustainable savings.
- Cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders to maximize procurement's impact.
You will be based at Nike's inspiring European Headquarters (EHQ) in Hilversum, a dynamic campus that reflects the values of the brand. Nike offers a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 days from home).
