Reach truck driver

Earn a top wage of €15.35 per hour as a reach truck driver at Bidfood Poeldijk, where we invest in your expertise! To qualify as a reach truck driver, it is important that you meet the following requirements:

• You're 18 years or older and speak Dutch or English;
• You have your own transportation to get to work in Poeldijk;
• You are available from 4:00 PM to midnight, Sunday through Friday;
• You are available at least two Sundays per week;
• You have demonstrable experience operating a reach truck.

When you arrive on-site, you go straight upstairs to change. Then you clock in and start working as a reach truck driver. You'll work with orders that you'll pick using voice picking. Because you're driving a reach truck, you'll pick all the orders that are high up. You'll do this in the dry dock (+-17 degrees Celsius), the cooling room (+-3 degrees Celsius), and the freezer (+-18 degrees Celsius). You'll take a break in the spacious and clean canteen. Your shift usually ends around midnight, but sometimes there's more work or a lot of sick leave, so it might run a little over. You'll be paid accordingly, of course.

• You'll be responsible for inventory management;
• You'll process incoming goods;
• You'll help colleagues by preparing items for the order pickers.

Bidfood is a large wholesaler in the foodservice industry. They have 16 locations in the Netherlands and 1,700 employees. Bidfood supplies fresh products to 25,000 customers throughout the Netherlands.

Regular surcharges: 00:00 - 04:00: 50% extra, 04:00 - 06:00: 25%, 19:00 - 22:00: 25%, and 22:00 - 00:00: 50%. Saturdays between 50% and 100% extra, and Sundays 00:00 - 22:00: 100% extra.
Surcharges for working in the cold: Between 0 and 7 degrees Celsius: €0.55 gross per hour worked. Between 0 and -18 degrees Celsius: €1.26 gross per hour worked.

• As a reach truck driver you will receive all kinds of extras from us, such as a free lunch.
• Tavel allowance: € 0.23 cents per kilometer. Only paid out for more than 10 km one way and up to 25 km.
• Dutch and English are spoken at work.
