You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. You meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of MBO 4 level, preferably in logistics or a related field
- Experience in logistics, transport, or supply chainoperations
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Excel
- A structured, accurate, and independent working style
- A natural drive to follow up, flag issues early, and see them through to resolution
- Experience with FIS, WMS, or TMS systems is a plus
As a Transport Operations Coordinator, you and your colleagues are
responsible for monitoring and coordinating the execution of inbound and
outbound transport from and to our European Distribution Center in Born.
You work within a system-driven planning environment where transport
orders are generated automatically. Your role is to confirm, execute, and
actively follow up on these orders from the moment a shipment is created
until it is delivered at the right place and time.
You are the connecting link between our transport partners, customers,
and internal teams. You spot issues before they become problems, take
ownership of exceptions, and keep all parties informed proactively. With
your eye for detail and hands-on mindset, you contribute to continuously
improving how we manage transport execution.
- Monitoring and confirming transport plans: Confirming orders, and keeping a close eye on Inbound and Outbound deliveries to ensure timely execution.
- Inbound and Outbound monitoring: Following up on planned pickups and inbound deliveries, ensuring carriers collect and deliver shipments as scheduled.
- In-transit monitoring: Actively tracking shipments on a daily basis to verify they are progressing as planned.
- Delivery follow-up: Monitoring daily deliveries and taking action when shipments risk arriving late.
- Exception handling: Proactively resolving disruptions, delays, and deviations. Not just reporting them, but taking ownership and driving them to resolution.
- Proactive communication: Keeping customers and internal stakeholders informed at every stage, especially when issues arise, to manage expectations and maintain trust.
- Document management: Managing shipment documentation and ensuring all required import/export documents are requested and in order.
- Administrative processing: Accurately processing transport data in Cello system and handling tickets in JIRA.
