As a CNC operator, you’ll perform machining operations on engine blocks, camshafts, cylinder heads, and other components. As a CNC Operator, you’ll feel right at home working with the machinery at the engine factory.
- You have experience operating and adjusting CNC-controlled machines;
- You preferably have experience with machining operations, particularly milling and turning;
- You have a technical background in your education;
- You have work experience as an operator;
- You can perform quality checks using measuring tools.
In the engine plant’s machining department, various engine components are machined. Each department has a set of machines dedicated to producing a single component, such as the cylinder head, the camshaft, or the engine block.
As a CNC operator, you are responsible for performing machining operations using CNC machines. Common operations include: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and grinding.
Together with your colleagues, you will work within a machine park. Your tasks may include: starting up and operating machines, loading programs, changing tools, or troubleshooting malfunctions. You ensure that the production process runs smoothly and that production targets are met. In addition, you are jointly responsible for quality control: measuring and inspecting parts.
The work is performed in a 3-shift rotation: day (7:00 –15:30), evening (15:30 - 0:00), and night (0:00 – 7:00).
