Job Description
As a Mechatronic Engineer – Aftertreatment, you play a pivotal role in the development and integration of advanced aftertreatment components and systems. The aftertreatment domain encompasses hardware, electronics, controls, and software, requiring close collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. In this position, you contribute to both the continuous improvement of current products and the development of future technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate a wide range of mechatronic development activities in close cooperation with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Translate project objectives into clear technical requirements and work with suppliers to develop, validate, and implement solutions for successful market introduction.
- Execute Six Sigma deliverables and drive problem resolution using DMAIC methodologies.
- Initiate, coordinate, and guide validation and release activities to achieve project milestones.
- Participate in and lead Simultaneous Engineering Teams
- Ensure components meet all functional, emissions, reliability, quality, robustness, and manufacturability requirements.
- Analyze test and development results, prepare technical recommendations, and present findings to management.
- Report directly to the Engineering Supervisor – Aftertreatment Hardware.

Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of three years of experience in automotive product development.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities through a structured and organized approach.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities with a results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in English is required; willingness to learn Dutch is expected.
