Are you ready to shape the grid of the future?

Are you looking for a pivotal commercial role in the energy transition where entrepreneurship, flexibility, international dynamics, and real-world impact come together? Do you want to work with a global authority in testing, inspection, and certification? We would love to connect with you!

About the Role

As Area Manager Northern Europe, you will be the driving force behind KEMA Labs’ commercial growth across the Nordic and Baltic region. You will serve as the primary face of our organisation to utilities, manufacturers, EPC contractors, and developers across the power sector.

In this role, you enjoy a high degree of autonomy and independence in managing your territory and schedule, while being an integral part of KEMA Labs' close-knit international commercial team. Together, you share best practices, align strategies, and drive growth on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial Strategy & Growth: Independently develop and execute a targeted regional sales and business development plan for the Nordic and Northern European markets.
  • Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Management: Identify and pursue new opportunities in testing, inspection, certification (TIC), and technical services, maintaining a strong pipeline of projects involving high-voltage, medium-voltage, and grid-related equipment.
  • Full-Cycle Sales Management: Drive the complete commercial process—from lead generation and customer visits to proposal development, negotiation, and final contract closing.
  • Key Account & Partnership Development: Support key account management and nurture long-term strategic partnerships with key utilities, manufacturers, and industrial customers.
  • Cross-Functional & Team Collaboration: Work autonomously while collaborating closely with your international commercial team, technical experts, laboratories, and operations teams to align solutions with customer requirements.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitor Tracking: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer investments, and regulatory changes in the Nordic power sector to prepare accurate sales forecasts and activity reports for management.
  • Representation & Events: Represent KEMA Labs at customer meetings, key industry events, and energy sector conferences.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all commercial activities strictly comply with company policies, ethics, and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience: Several years of proven success in sales, business development, or key account management within the power industry, testing, certification, or technical services environment.
  • Work Style: Highly self-motivated, autonomous, and organized, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities in parallel while collaborating effectively in an international team.
  • Location & Residence: You can be based in Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, or elsewhere—what matters most to us is your market understanding and language fluency.
