A long-term position
As a logistics worker at FedEx in Eindhoven, you recognize yourself in the following:
- You have a good command of either the Dutch or English language
- You are available to work from 05:30 to 14:00
- You are available to work Monday through Friday
- You have your own means of transportation
- You are physically able to lift boxes up to 23 kg when necessary
- You have experience with, or a certificate for, a forklift or EPT (Electric Pallet Truck)
As a logistics worker, you will perform a variety of tasks. You will place boxes on the conveyor belt, scan packages, and sort them by zip code. You will manually unload boxes from the trucks. Additionally, you will ensure a clean and tidy workspace.
This means the work of a logistics worker is varied but physically demanding. You will be walking and lifting a lot. The upside? No more need for a gym membership! Great, right?
Additionally, you must be eligible to apply for a VOG (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag). It is important that there are no obstacles to obtaining this Certificate of Conduct. Having a DigiD is crucial for this application, as the process takes longer without it.
FedEx is an international parcel carrier. Every week, FedEx ships 4.4 million parcels, documents, and goods to 200 different countries. FedEx has one of the distribution centers in Eindhoven, where you will soon be working. You will load and lose the trucks here. Also, you will sort packages.
