Are you ready to engineer the future of high-performance transport systems? Join the Global Powertrain Engine Engineering department at PACCAR Inc. as a Mechanical Expert | Base Engine Development and drive hardware innovations for top truck brands like DAF, Peterbilt, and Kenworth.
Within the Base Engine team, you focus on complex internal mechanical systems and structural components. You ensure these critical parts meet the highest standards for reliability, quality, and environmental sustainability. In this dynamic role, you report directly to the Base Engine Supervisor and collaborate across international teams.
As a Mechanical Expert, your primary responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the development and optimization of new and existing designs with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Leading Simultaneous Engineering (SE) teams and managing Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) deliverables.
- Translating project goals into precise product requirements and resolving complex issues using DMAIC principles.
- Managing validation plans and component releases in alignment with key project milestones.
- Preparing detailed technical recommendations and presenting your findings directly to management.

You are successful as:
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in mechanical or hardware development within a product development environment.
- You possess fluent English communication skills.
- You have practical experience with problem-solving methodologies such as DMAIC and DFSS.
