As a Test Engineer Engines, you are the linchpin in developing and testing the latest DAF diesel engines. You combine technical expertise with precision in the Engine Test Center.
In this role, you independently execute complex tests within the Engine Test Center based on specific test setups. Together with Performance Engineers and the development team, you define the objective and setup for each test. You configure the measurement environment, connect advanced measuring equipment, and deliver analyzed data within the set schedule.
Your responsibilities include:
- Independently executing and monitoring engine tests according to the schedule.
- Setting up, connecting, and calibrating test rigs and complex measuring equipment.
- Collecting, analyzing, and delivering measurement data in the correct format to Performance Engineers.
- Recording notable occurrences and anomalies in the English logbook.
- Actively contributing to the optimization and automation of measuring instruments and data acquisition.

You are successful if you have:
- A completed Bachelor's degree (HTS) in Automotive Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in the development of DAF diesel engines.
- Experience in applying Six Sigma tools and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- The ability to work with the specific software of the Engine Test Center.
