For our client's DAF - a major manufacturer of trucks active in the international transport sector - we are looking for a Certification Engineer | Vehicles.
Within Global Engines department, the Certification Development team is responsible for certification activities to obtain and maintain emission and OBD certificates. This consists of engine dyno and vehicle testing including all mandatory documentation of our products. Performing certification testing is one the important steps in the submittal process. Certification testing can be either in an engine testbed or on/off-road on a vehicle using PEMS equipment.
As a Certification Engineer | Vehicles at PACCAR Global Engines, you will work in a state-of-the-art development center on clean mobility for the future. Within the Global Engines department, the Certification Development team is responsible for certifying engines and aftertreatment systems. In this dynamic role, you will perform tests on the engine dyno as well as on-road using PEMS equipment. Besides that you will:
- Prepare and execute various certification testing activities
- Analyze and discuss test results with various stakeholders
- Document test results, process improvements, and applied test standards
- Take initiative to continuously improve tools and test processes
- Collaborate in an international, multidisciplinary team

Functie-eisen
To successfully perform this role, you possess a strong technical foundation and an analytical mindset. Besides that:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
- 1 to 3 years of work experience with heavy-duty diesel engines and aftertreatment systems.
- Background in engine emission calibration or On-Board Diagnostics (OBD).
- Advanced English language skills.
