As an Interim Holding Controller at the headquarters in Utrecht, you serve as the central point of contact for various international parent and subsidiary holding companies in locations including Malta and Cyprus. In this versatile role, you link key departments such as Tax, Treasury, and Legal. Together with external auditors, you ensure financial control, reporting, and full compliance with all laws and regulations. The duration of this assignment is at least until January 31, 2027.
In this role, you drive tangible results and take on the following responsibilities:
- Periodic Closing & Reporting (US GAAP): You ensure accurate and timely financial reporting under US GAAP using SAP and HFM. You document key financial transactions (such as foreign exchange revaluations) and manage intercompany cross-charges.
- Statutory Financial Statements & Audit Management: You prepare interim and annual statutory financial statements for your assigned entities. You act as the primary contact for external auditors and guide financial audits from start to finish.
- Tax Reporting & Compliance: You prepare annual tax packages and country-specific reporting for the tax team. Additionally, you align local legal and tax obligations with external advisors to strictly meet all deadlines.
- Intercompany Transactions: You maintain a clear overview of internal contracts, loan agreements, and intercompany invoicing, working closely with Treasury, Tax, and Legal.
- Process Improvement & Projects: You proactively identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate financial reporting and reconciliations. You flexibly step up for ad-hoc projects in finance, tax, treasury, and corporate structures.

Functie-eisen
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An additional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or RA is a strong advantage.
- You have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, statutory statements, or audit.
- You bring proven experience within an international matrix environment, preferably gained at a Big 4 accounting firm.
- You possess in-depth knowledge of US GAAP, financial controls, and corporate tax regulations.
- You have hands-on experience with SAP GL and Hyperion (HFM). Affinity with process improvement and automation tools is a valuable plus.
- Your level of English is excellent.
