As Endurance Lead Engineer you will be part of a team which verifies our best in class engines and aftertreatments on durability, reliability and performance under all conditions.

As Endurance Lead Engineer within the Verification department, you are responsible for planning and status reporting of Systems Verification activities in our engine and after treatment development projects.

Your responsibilities and goals:
• Take ownership of the endurance test plan, and maintain, update, while meeting applicable milestones and deadlines;
• Follow up on (daily) progress of these verification test activities and answer technical questions to proceed;
• Streamline verification procedures with expert input from the team;
• Monitor quality and status of relevant Key Performance Indicators;
• Prioritize and plan verification activities, and adjust the planning to disturbances;
• Report out status;
• Review test plans.

Daily activities are in close cooperation with members from the Global Engine Engineering and Integration teams, Global Powertrain Validation team, and Engine Test Centers, in Eindhoven and North America.
In this role, you report to the Supervisor Engine Systems Verification, and align on daily activities also with the other Line Leads, Coordinators and the Project Lead Engineer(s).

Your profile
• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering;
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience;
• Basic knowledge of engine and aftertreatment emissions calibration;
• Excellent planning and re-planning skills;
• Good English skills are mandatory, Dutch skills are a pre;
• Experience with working in multidisciplinary teams is preferable.

Within PACCAR Global Engine Development, the Engine Systems Verification group is a global team with engineers located at the state-of-the-art DAF Engine Test Center in Eindhoven and PACCAR Technical Center near Seattle. Together we take on the challenge to verify our future combustion engine platforms towards upcoming emission and on-board diagnostics legislation, with best total cost of ownership and at the highest reliability in all applications.
