As a Usability Engineer in medical imaging and technology, you play a pivotal role in creating safe, user-friendly healthcare solutions that empower physicians to deliver optimal patient care.
In this role, you drive user experience, regulatory compliance, and safety across the entire product lifecycle. You closely collaborate with international teams to translate clinical needs into intuitive interface designs.
Your key responsibilities:
• Deliver usability requirements and documentation according to international standards (IEC 62366, FDA Guidance, NMPA)
• Execute workflow analyses, task analyses, and user research to uncover clinical needs and contexts of use
• Plan, execute, and report on usability evaluations, ensuring critical findings improve UI/UX design
• Lead Usability FMEA risk management activities and analyze post-market usability data
• Collaborate with global multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, clinical marketing, and software engineers
Functie-eisen
• You hold a Master’s degree in Human Factors Engineering, HCI, Cognitive Science, Product/Interaction Design, or a related field
• You have at least 3 years of proven experience in usability engineering for medical devices
• You have sound knowledge of regulatory requirements for medical device usability (IEC 62366-1, FDA Human Factors Guidance, and NMPA)
• You have excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
