In this role, you will be developing cutting elements for grooming and beauty appliances from initial idea towards mass manufacturing. This will be done within diverse and multidisciplinary development teams.

Preserve our trusted values in functionality, design, and simplicity throughout the development process.
Translate user, commercial, and functional requirements into precise technical specifications for cutting elements.
Engineer cutting elements focused on functionality, performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
Plan, realize, and steer the development of cutting element functions, ensuring effective project management.

Functie-eisen

Master’s degree or PhD in applied physics, (bio-)mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Experience with setting up, conducting, and analyzing experiments.
Preferably experience in function development for consumer products with a strong understanding of state-of-the-art development techniques.
Familiar with precision engineering, manufacturability aspects (process, tools & equipment), analysis (strength, stiffness), and drive mechanisms.
Skilled in 3D CAD, essential for designing and developing precision mechanical constructions.
Passionate about solving complex technical puzzles and building knowledge through theoretical or empirical models.
Skills in Python and FEM are a plus; experience with DfSS (Greenbelt) is a plus.
Ambitious with leadership talent, aspiring to roles like senior mechanical developer, lead function developer, or product architect.

Competenties

Leverage expert knowledge to influence strategic decisions and contribute to roadmap and strategy discussions.
Collaborate with teams to create high-quality mechanical designs in metal or plastic that are ready for mass production.
Lead cross-functional teams, manage development requirements, conduct DFMEAs, and follow the V-model methodology.
Release complete cutting elements, including components and sub-assemblies, for mass production.
