As a Computational Modeling Engineer, you will join our Innovation and Design community at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in (bio)physics, solid mechanics, and computational modeling to support the development of next-generation medical device solutions across the entire health continuum.
Computational (bio)physics plays a vital role in de-risking innovation, accelerating R&D timelines, and strengthening product propositions through simulation-driven insights. Working as an internal consultant for global business units, you will translate real-world medical and engineering challenges into advanced physics-based modeling strategies, enabling informed design decisions through virtual prototyping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support R&D projects using advanced computational modeling, numerical techniques, and simulation tools.
- Develop, validate, and apply physics-based models to guide product optimization, structural performance, and decision-making.
- Co-develop and elevate the computational (bio)physics knowledge and capabilities within the global team.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging modeling methodologies, simulation software, and numerical techniques.
- Partner with cross-functional teams in image-guided therapy, precision diagnostics, patient monitoring, and personal care to turn application needs into actionable simulation roadmaps.
- Translate complex simulation outputs into clear, actionable technical insights for engineering stakeholders and R&D leaders.
