Internship - Formulations and Bio-availability

As an Formulations and Bio-availability intern you must meet the following requirements:

• Master’s program in (Bio)pharmaceutical Sciences or Technology, Nanobiology, Drug Innovation, Biomedical Engineering/Sciences, or a related engineering/applied physics discipline.
• Fluency in English both written and verbal
• Knowledge in biopharmaceutics
• Available for 40 hours a week
• Willing to work in Leiden

As an intern in the Biopharmaceutics team (part of global Drug Product Development), you will dive into advanced in vivo CAR-T cell and gene therapies. Working with both viral and non-viral vectors (such as LNPs and tLVVs), you will investigate how these formulations behave post-administration. Your tasks will be:

• Design and test CAR-T formulations in static and flow models with biological fluids.
• Build analytical tools to map drug-fluid interactions.
• Develop models to optimize screening, bio - availability, and targeting efficiency.
• Work directly with senior scientists across Protein and Cell & Gene therapy teams.
