As a Train Technology Mechanic at NS, you must meet the following requirements:
- You speak Dutch or English
- You have at least an MBO level 2 diploma in a technical direction
At the Supply department of NS Treinmodernisering in Haarlem, you are the specialist who overhauls and renews interior and exterior components of various NS train types. You work on heavy metal structures and specialize in dismantling and assembling various train doors, seals, windows, and locks. You read technical drawings, follow work instructions, and take a problem-solving approach to bottlenecks in consultation with your supervisor. This way, the trains will soon hit the tracks again rock-solid, safe, and as good as new!
- Dismantling and assembling various train doors, seals, windows, and locks
- Repairing, modifying, and renewing heavy metal structures and bodies
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work documents
- Working in accordance with work instructions and safety standards
- Taking a problem-solving approach in the absence of instructions
