For this logistics associate position, we’re looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on person. You’ll recognize yourself in the following points:
- you can work 3 to 5 weekdays between 5:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.
- you speak Dutch or English
- you have your own transportation (car, scooter, or bicycle) to get to the location
As a logistics associate at DHL, you’re responsible for loading and sorting all packages. On one end of the process, you help unload the trucks and place the shipments on the sorting conveyor belt. On the other end, you carefully sort the packages by ZIP code and stack them in roll containers for shipment.
No two weeks are the same! You’ll generally work between 5:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. Monday and Tuesday evenings, in particular, often involve slightly longer shifts. Later in the week, your shifts may be a bit shorter, for example from 7:00 PM to 1:30 AM. You may be asked to help out 2 to 3 days a week at another DHL location in Zwolle, just two blocks away. The work there will, of course, be exactly the same!
In summary, your responsibilities will include:
- unloading trucks and placing packages on the conveyor belt
- processing and sorting packages from the conveyor belt
- sorting packages into roll containers by region
You’ll be working at DHL, a massive company that delivers packages all over the world. Every day, they ensure that millions of packages and letters arrive on time at their recipients. The Zwolle location is brand-new and ultra-modern. It’s a key, central hub where all packages for the northern part of the Netherlands are sorted.
