For Unilever we are searching for a fulltime Financial analyst / Supply Chain Innovation Costing Analyst. This is a temporary position and it is for approximately 6 months, maybe it will be prolonged after that.

Background information:
The Supply Chain Finance Europe team is a centralized organization based in Netherlands that works closely together with SC to optimize the SC result in Europe. It gets its operational support from the SC Analytics Europe team within SC-FS (Unilever Supply Chain Finance Services).

For the SC Analytics team we are looking for a Supply Chain Innovation Costing Analyst. The main purpose of this role is to take a crucial part in the estimation process of SC costs of new products, business partnering Portfolio & Innovation managers (P&I) and Category Finance teams.

Purpose of the Job:

  • Work on the estimation of Transfer Price at Contract Gate (Business Case Approval gate), perform variance analysis against comparable products, investigate deviations and share business insights;
  • Facilitate the Market Ready Gate costing process, being the linking pin between other internal SCFS teams and P&I;
  • Perform the variance analysis between the final cost at Market Ready Gate and the estimation done at Contract Gate, sharing any insights with the relevant stakeholders;
  • Work to establish/maintain a standard cross-category ways of working, landing successfully any relevant change management processes with stakeholders;
  • Contribute to projects of continuous improvement (processes & tools);
  • Create synergies with the EU Brand Development Hub in Rotterdam, taking full advantage from F2F interaction;

Accountability (Deliverable Outputs):

  • Be the first point of contact representing Supply Chain Finance for Supply Chain project teams (Portfolio & Innovation) related to Innovation Costing;
  • Ensure that end-to-end Supply Chain implications of Innovation and SC projects are properly evaluated and incorporated within the gate keeping process;
  • Central log file maintenance (archive) for transparent and efficient tracking of product costing assumptions for all Innovation and Supply Chain projects;
  • Variance Analysis between Market Ready and Contract Gate;
  • Calculate and share KPIs reflecting the performance of the team, identifying any relevant mitigation actions;

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year working experience within Finance
  • Product Costing and/or SU / Finance experience
  • Preferably proven experience with the European SC model
  • Preferably proven Project management capabilities
