What is the Stockholm Bypass?
Join Yunex Traffic, a global leader in intelligent traffic systems, and take charge of the testing and quality assurance for one of the world's longest and most ambitious road tunnel projects: the Stockholm Bypass (Förbifart Stockholm). This critical infrastructure project, connecting the northern and southern parts of Stockholm County, will feature an 18km long tunnel and is projected to handle 140,000 vehicles per day by 2035.
We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Test Manager to lead the verification of our complete tunnel automation and traffic safety systems. This role demands a strategic thinker, excellent communicator, and a 'people person' capable of managing technical complexity and large-scale contractor coordination
What is your role?
As the Test Manager, you will hold end-to-end responsibility for the test management of Yunex Traffic's comprehensive technical scope within the Stockholm Bypass.
- Develop and execute the entire test strategy for the Yunex scope, including defining the approach for the extensive Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) and Integrated Site Acceptance Tests (iSATs).
- Coordinate and deliver all required test documents, such as Test Plans, Test Specifications, and Test Reports, ensuring high quality and adherence to requirements verification.
- Act as the central point for coordinating testing with other related contractors (e.g., for power, ventilation, and traffic signs). Develop an integral test strategy and plan for the complete tunnel system, ensuring seamless integration with our Tunnel Control System.
- Ensure the correct execution of Systems Engineering processes related to Testing and Verification.
- Adjust and update test plans as necessitated by incoming technical change requests that impact the existing test strategy
- Manage and guide the Test Coordinator responsible for day-to-day testing activities.
- Foster strong relationships and teamwork within the Yunex team, with our installation partner Eltel (over 200 staff), with the customer Trafikverket (TrV), and with other contractors.
- Responsible for the reporting of metrics and projections on quality, progress, and test coverage to stakeholders.
- Participate in regular meetings (on-site and off-site) with the Yunex team, Eltel, Trafikverket, and other contractors.
The project team in Zoetermeer consists of over 50 people distributed over the disciplines command and control, tunnel systems and the project management office. Our contract partner Eltel has more than 200 people working on the tunnel installation activities.
Functie-eisen
- A completed technical bachelor or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems and Control, Industrial Automation, or equivalent.
- Extensive working experience in an engineering environment.
- A minimum of 5 years in the field of technical project management.
- Proven track record as a Test Manager in large, complex technical projects.
- Good knowledge of System Engineering methodologies is required.
- You master English fluently and preferably speak Dutch or Swedish

- Excellent meeting facilitation and negotiation skills to achieve an overall final test strategy.

- Work Location: While our project team is based in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands (over 50 staff in Command & Control, Tunnel Systems, and PMO), the core of this role involves coordination activities on the tunnel site. Residence in Sweden (area of Stockholm) is preferred.
