The Consumables & Processes departments are, as part of the R&D organization, responsible for development of printing (imaging) processes and consumable materials (inks, toners, printheads) to be applied in innovative prints systems.
The UV gelling Technology Development Group is part of this department and responsible for developing new curing concepts and inks to provide the future roll to roll platforms with new technologies
Within the project team that is responsible for material interaction of the Color Wave print series we are looking for an Interaction Designer.
Investigate the functional (material) interaction between ink and the print head. Some interactions may lead to print artefacts. A test program has to be defined to find possible root cause and ways for improvement. Together with people involved the researcher should perform tests independently and be able to define an investigation program. Furthermore the test results need to be presented to and discussed with the relevant (chemical oriented) multidisciplinary team.
As a team member the candidate will have an own responsibility for a part of the total program of the team.
- BSc in physics and/or chemistry
- Work experience within an R&D environment
- No synthetic
- Experimenter, pro-active
- An autonomous way of working, being persuasive and having clear communication skills
- Knowledge of and experience with setting up and execute experiments
- Knowledge of and experience with Matlab is preferred
- Profound knowledge - verbal and written - of English
- Candidate is permissioned to work in the Netherlands, and able to provide, if requested, a certificate of conduct
