The Young Technical Professional Program
This management development program is a co-creation of Philips and YACHT. The goal is to train high potential candidates to be a Technical Lead Designer in 3 years which normally takes about a minimum of 5 years to make this jump. During these 3 years you are trained in hard skills as well as in communication and managerial skills. Of course you work full time at Philips and you take the lead in your growth from Junior Project Member to Technical Project Leader.
Training and coaching
An assessment is the basis for your Personal Development Plan which guides you through the phases: YOU AS A PROFESSIONAL; YOU AND YOUR TEAM and YOU LEADING CHANGE.These training blocks refer to communication and management skills and extended technical training.
Training and courses are offered by Training-on-the-job; the Philips Academy and our YACHT Academy. In addition you are coached and supervised by professional coaches, senior YACHT professionals and senior engineers from Philips. Also you become part of a team of YACHT professionals who share the same ambition to make part of a network within the High Tech Industry.
Innovative projects and "Open Your Mind" project
During the YTP program you participate in several multidisciplinary innovation projects at Philips Healthcare. Next to your regular assignment you are involved in an "Open Your Mind" project. This is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project. The goal is that you and other participants in the Young Technical Professionals program learn to come to a project goal by yourself, build on your network and give a presentation to the Philips Senior Management. It also trains skills as aligning stakeholders and time management and offers you a way to get to know a lot of different people. This new network will surely help you to find an assignment for your internship in your final YTP year.
Are you The One
We are looking for graduated engineers with a PhD or Master in Computer Science, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering who have a maximum of 2 years of working experience. You have an excellent grade list and the ambition to challenge yourself and your team to be the best in the Healthcare industry.
You are an engineer who is able to share his/her vision to all stakeholders at Philips. You show natural leadership skills and you are able to team up people. You know how to cope with stressful deadlines and you like to work with people from different cultures, nationalities and disciplines.
