About
Within Elsevier’s’ Science, Technology and Medical Publishing division (STMJ), you will be responsible for supporting the implementation manager and product managers with delivering improvements and standards to the global publishing operation. The global publishing division operates across all fields of science in acquiring content for publication in our 2500+ journal outlets. Implementation of changes therefore requires an open-minded attitude, bearing in mind different audiences and interests, yet determination to succeed and convince others.

What are you going to do?
As an Implementation coordinator, you will be responsible for the roll-out process, communication, and ‘Business as Usual’ designs of projects ready to be embedded in the Organization. Your main activity centers around the roll-out of workflow tools associated with new Open Access journal launches, ensuring new titles can be created and managed correctly in our internal systems in finance, legal, operations, and made available to our readership quickly. In order to perform well, you will have to be able to work with many stakeholders, display strong communication and analytical skills.

Your second activity is to manage content for our internal website Publisher’s Corner.
Our internal website contains all relevant information on Projects, Processes, Reports and Best Practices and is used by approximately 700 returning users. You will work together with many stakeholders to manage and update the internal website using MS expression. You will monitor usage and break down the usage to analyze what is used and what should be improved. You will coordinate the quarterly newsletter on the latest updates.

A day of an Implementation Manager
You will coordinate different projects. First thing you do in the morning is checking each project to see how they are doing. Based on the different tasks you will prioritize how to proceed. After this check, you have to answer all kinds of queries about for example change requests or performance reports that come in. You will also do a lot of analysis, either by searching the information yourself or collaborating with others to find solutions. this requires involvement of the right subject matter experts and critical thinking to prepare the right questions for them.

Requirements
- Min. BSc/BA, MSc-MA preferred
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Formal Knowledge of project framework and its functional setting is an advantage
- Well versed in all relevant MS Office applications, notably Excel, Visio, MS Project and PowerPoint
- Preferably experienced in MS Expression
- Analytical skills (likes to analyze data and draw conclusions for business implementation)
