Service Engineer Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg (Benelux)

Field Service Engineer
This position assumes a key role by being the front line assisting our customers at every stage including start-up and commissioning of equipment, performing planned maintenance, monitoring performance, diagnosing and repairing system problems in a timely fashion. Remote support, diagnosis and repair will also be required.
The desired person must be willing to travel, be able to work under pressure and have a strong work ethic.
Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction;
Installation and commissioning of Instruments GC and GCMS systems;
Documents all inspections, maintenance, service work, and submits paperwork in a timely basis;
Manages orders, installs, and returns of RMA parts, repair cycle time;
Ensures that tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated;
Seeks to provide technical support to customers;
Maintains clear and concise business communication proficiency, both oral and written;
Travel within Benelux, work hours other than Monday-Friday may be required;
Comply with and ensure compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies;
Other duties as required.
Summary: The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong electronic and analytical knowledge and maintain high technical level of product knowledge. They must be team oriented, flexible and actively seek to share information and assist his or her peers.
The Service Engineer will generate monthly reports for the service manager.
At least 5 years of related Sales experience with Chromatography instrumentation, GC/GCMS.
Bachelor degree in technology science, chemistry or physics, Major/Minor.
Knowledge of GC and GCMS; preferably via professional experience.
Direct laboratory experience a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Knowledge of the key markets, especially Chemical & Petrochemical.
Located in the Netherlands.
Fluent in English.
