The workshop at Koninklijke Auping in Deventer is looking for candidates who want to learn the Modinette trade. Training will start at the end of June 2023. Interested? Then read on!

You will be available part-time during the 10-day training. After training, this will be 3 to 5 days. You will work on Mondays and Fridays in any case. After your training, you will work in Royal Auping's sewing workshop. It is therefore important that you are precise, after all, you are making a quality product. In addition, continuous improvement is important within Auping. You actively contribute ideas to the development of even more beautiful and better products. You also function well within a team; you will always work together with colleagues to achieve an end result.

• during the training you are available part-time (the training lasts 2 weeks);
• after your training there are full-time and part-time opportunities;

• you have affinity/experience with working on the sewing machine;
• you can work together in a team;
• you have a good command of the English and/or Dutch language.

As an apprentice Modinette, you will learn the basic skills of the Modinette trade at Auping in 10 working days. There is a practice area at Auping's production location. Together with three to five other students, you will be taught by a vocational teacher from the roc. Practice makes perfect! That is why you will practice a lot behind the sewing machine. After obtaining your certificate, you will be ready to start working as a Modinette at Auping. Here you can develop further and get to know various workplaces. How fun is that!
Training starts at the end of June 2023!

Together with your colleagues, you will take care of the end result; the mattress covers. Your work will mainly consist of operating the industrial sewing machine. Clear work instructions are provided to help you with the work. As a modinette, you make sure the sewing machine has the right settings. And you guarantee the quality of the products properly. You also have an eye for safety and performing tasks correctly.

• obtain a certificate as Modinette;
• after obtaining your certificate a job at Auping (minimum 6 months).

Auping is a family-run business in Deventer. All kinds of beds are made at Auping. Auping's sewing workshop consists of two departments. The box springs department deals with the covers of upholstered mattresses, headboard covers, box upholstery,. They also take care of upholstering hockers and toppers. The mattress department works on the covers of white mattresses. But also the toppers and cores of all mattresses.
