- Higher professional education or senior secondary vocational education with an enhanced curriculum
- Operational purchasing experience and preferably procurement specific education
- Proven negotiation and analytical skills
- Excellent English language skills, both verbally and in writing
- Capable in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Administrative affinity, SAP knowledge is a plus
- Team player
The Operational Buyer serves as a procurement business partner. You will capture requirements, identify opportunities in co-operation with the internal customers and Procurement colleagues delivering value, efficiently and fully compliant with SABIC Procurement Policy.
- Procure local buys on time
- Achieve this result at the lowest possible cost by challenging in-company demands, policies and practices and reaching optimal and commercial conditions
- Ensure the availability of goods and services as required. In time, in place and according to specifications and accompanied by necessary certificates, so that manufacturing processes is executed as planned.
- Support and coordinate material quality inspection
- Ensure on time payment suppliers, continuously improve the Purchase to Pay process and deliver compliant procurement dossiers
- Ensure compliance to regional legislation, global standards, requirements, policies and procedures
- Support on complaint handling and supplier evaluation
