JOB: IP Formalities Officer. Focus will be on supporting trademark, design right, and domain enforcement activities of Philips Intellectual Property & Standards, for example as outlined below:
-Screening trademark and domain name watch notices, gathering further information on the third party trademark concerned, related trademarks registered by Philips, agreements between Philips and the owner of the third party trademark, supporting IP Counsels in follow-up activities, periodically revising of screening criteria.
-Screening products sold (online) by third parties, comparing appearance with designs registered by Philips, gathering information on possible agreements between Philips and (re-)seller of products concerned, supporting IP Counsels in follow-up activities, periodically revising screening criteria.
-Various tasks in trademark, design, domain name creation process, and IP portfolio transaction support, depending on workload for the team as a whole.

EXPERIENCE:
2 – 3 years work experience as paralegal or IP formalities officer primarily in trademarks and design rights/patents. Very familiar with trademark and design rights procedures at least the following IP Offices / Organizations
-Benelux Intellectual Property Office
-EU Intellectual Property Office
-WIPO (Madrid system and The Hague system)
